This action sends a message to a designated auto-responder which then automatically logs the viewer’s details and dispatches the required information. Further, after a pre-programmed interval, the auto-responder may send out a further steady stream of information until the potential customer either purchases the product or signals a request for no further information.<br /><br />Auto-responders are also used in conjunction with electronic mailing lists, in which e-mails are used in the widespread distribution of information to a multitude of internet users.
